I think we ended up with a wonderfully diverse mix of work that was selected for the book. From highly engaging, experiential websites like Cisco Boom and Audi, to a mobile application, to the simply brilliant creative concept for Dove Evolution which combined with the Web 2.0 world to deliver what was probably the single most visible piece of communication on earth this year.

The work was selected for the book based on points won at Cannes, D&AD, The OneShow, and the Clios. One point was given for making the Shortlist (or equivalent), 3 for a Bronze, 5 for a Silver, 7 for a gold, and 10 points for a Grand Prix.

As the winner of not one, but two Grand Prix at Cannes, it should not come as a surprise that Dove Evolution was the winner of the Crème de la Crème award. This work represents one of those rare moments when the bar is raised for the entire industry. what I find most interesting is that it also defies categorisation. It is the envy of every creative regardless of what medium they practise in.
