Online casino 888.com is a successful company. But, given that existing promotional work had been restricted to football T-shirt
sponsorship, most consumers were in the dark about the brand. CHI & Partners set about changing this.
The campaign idea was to ref lect the casino experience in real life. Quirky online games used gambling technology to randomise the results
of everyday questions. Users could bet on the likelihood of a piece of toast falling jam-side up, for example.
The campaign was also echoed in more traditional media.
Membership of 888.com increased significantly and, in 2008, the company was voted Online Casino of the Year. (Definitely not by chance.) |
