In 2007, Eurostar made some improvements to the channel-crossing experience. This included a reduced journey time, and a new
arrival station at St. Pancras. MEC took the news to the web, creating an online platform aimed specifically at French consumers.
The website communicated a vision of the New London created by Eurostar, bursting with culture and effervescence. Viewers could
find the latest hotspots through YPEs (Your Personal Expert), and watch live feeds from the capital. On Canal+, Eurostar also launched
(and participated in) a series of shows dedicated to the English experience - one of which featured a French Amy Winehouse.
The results were most gratifying, with turnover up over 11%. |
