Procter and Gamble wanted to strengthen its trade relations with the Philippines' top retailers, and forge a closer bond with a fairly
broad target market at the same time. Together with Mediacom, they created Ms. Shoppingera ('Shopping Girl'), and gave her a regular
television slot. A popular morning news anchor in her own right, Ms. Shoppingera sought out the best deals in-store, on behalf of all
consumers. Naturally, many of these products came from the Proctor and Gamble stable - with their benefits credibly discussed on-air. |
